Matt Mills is a writer who loves to tell stories that delight readers and draw them into new worlds. Since 2018, he has worked alongside his wife Natalie to build Penny Magic Press, a small press for short stories, mini-stories, classics, and small novels. He has written more than twenty short stories and is currently working on his third novel, the second book in a children's series about Persephone Green, an inventive but withdrawn elementary schooler who lives in Chicago.

The first book in the series, Persephone Green and the Never-Ending Winter, brings readers into the world of Persephone Green, a six-year-old girl with a magical gift from her grandmother: a conductor’s baton that can control the weather. When a snowstorm threatens the city of Chicago, Persephone must learn to make friends in order to stop the blizzard and bring her mother home in time for Christmas.
